Letters to Tetrahedron, part four

Last time on Letters to a Tetrahedron (Not to God – Just a Shape!!!!):

It is unlike a Godless universe that atoms and chemicals, which cannot duplicate themselves, always end up with the same “quirkiness” and chemical properties.

The Tetrahedron expresses properties unlike any shape in geometry.

It cannot be easily measured by the traditional measures of height by width by depth.

However, by stacking regular spheres upon one another, one can always construct a perfect tetrahedron, by lining up the outer edges of the outer spheres and creating line segments along these lines that will intersect each other.

What was the point of making a point about sphere contructed tetrahedrons, containing fractal.

It was only to point out the uniqueness of the shape.

Otherwise, we have to move on…

Now, we will go on to the Hebrew Letters of the Aleph-bet…

Why the letters of the alephbet?

Because I’m a Christian. Christians read Bibles, the Torah, the Prophets, and then the new Testament.

The Old Testament was written in Hebrew.

I care about Hebrew because One day a Paster said on TV that the Hebrew language contains secrets. Secrets about the source of Life, God’s nature and so forth…

I don’t remember this pastor’s name. But my journey hasn’t stopped in four years since.

I typed a little here and there. I printed alphabet charts off of Google and dabbled with it until it made sense to me. That’s when I came up with the color-attribute wheel in Cyclical Beauty. I had also learned that most of each of these letters have a picture associated it. That, I’m about to get into shortly.

About a year ago, I first read the word “Kabbala” on a library notice for an adult class. My mom was interested, but when I read the word “mysticism” in the description, I suggested against it.

Is kabbalah like casting spells on people? Mmmmm…we’d better not get involved. Our family ties are African enough as it is. We don’t need more of this ****.

Then maybe… it was last fall in 2010, when I was forced to do a paper for school on an ethnicity other than my own, that I stumbled upon this word. Kabbala.

My ADD head lead me through more Wiki- articles than I needed for school. Soon I was like “hey, those guys studying kabbalah are trying to do what I’m doing: realizing that the non-wasteful God created our complex universe with the “law of preservation.”

His language, then, must be just as fine, versatile, and powerful yet efficient and indestructible. After all, he did use these words to create the universe.

Even if I can’t read or understand Hebrew for beans, I thought, I might could, at least pull its alphabet apart to see what I can find…

The Aleph-Bet

We English-speakers, who call our collection and order of letters the “Alphabet”, got the name from the Late Latin word “Alphabetum” which came from the first two letters of their series were alpha and beta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphabet).

The Hebrew alphabet on the other hand begins, with the letters aleph and bet.

Unlike our Latin alphabet, the Hebrew Alephbet contains 22 letters:

What do fish, snakes and… frogs… have to do with…order? You may ask…

First of all, there are no frogs in the Hebrew Aleph-bet.

Second of all, there is one thing you have to learn if you are going to understand anything in this web/blog:

it is not the structure or what the thing is made up of that matters: it is the effect that the thing finally has. Intention is secondary: structure is third.

I am not worried about the fact that the snakes are made up of protein and are covered in scales. What matters is that they carry deadly poison and that they tend to be much shorter than infinity.

Do you catch my drift?

It is like peeling off the outer husk of an animal and only inspecting it effects, it’s habits, and not the animal itself.

It’s like walking into a forest and seeing the dotted outline of an animal but no animal there. All you see are the bushes moving and food being chewed, turned into mush and swallowed.

That habit of the animal, my friends, is the animal.

“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.” –Jesus Christ, Matthew 12:33

That observation of what we just saw, is what we call spirituality.

We often tend to think of spirituality as something “inside” of an object, partially because spirituality is often taught as being “hidden”. This is partially – in a sense. Being hidden can be “hiding in plain view” as well. Spirituality can be hidden from view when we are focusing on a tangible object more than the final consequences.

This view of existence can go back a few steps.

For example, we cannot see atoms any more than we can know their presence clairvoyantly. But we can definitely detect the energy they emit. We feel the surface of a keyboard or see the images on a screen, not because we can truly detect them –but because there was enough plastic or metal present enough under our fingertips, or enough light being emitted by the screen, to agitate our nerve endings, to send our cones firing, to send a coherent message to our brains. But we do not truly when an atom is there – we just truly hope that our nervous systems are healthy.

But yet, we still use the physical, observable properties of materials to identify them. We know something is plastic because of the kind of vibration it makes when it is struck. it may be malleable and “catch” under your nail pressure. Solid metal might feel cooler, heavier, and make a slightly different vibration from plastic when taped or stroked.

Spirituality will involve not only assessing physical consequences, but primarily, environmental and eternal consequences.

But non-detection will not always indicate non-existence, just as a minuteness of a virus does not indicate the absence of the virus, nor it’s possible impact. What matters is effectiveness.

Non-detection may indicate a mis-alignment of the senses and stimuli,or a need for amplification, exposure.

And, the need for amplification will not always mean that the source of the stimulus is as insignificant as its size. A Cavaet – sometimes this will be the case: other times it will not be.

So, it is from such a vantage point of reality, that we will study the pictorial meanings of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet in the series.
